If this goal had been scored in one of Europe’s top league’s then the likelihood would be that it would be old news by now. The K-League, though, gets minimal to zero coverage outisde of its close Asia radius meaning that the chances that any of you have seen Kim Dong-Chan’s 30-yard cracker are slim to none.
The match between Gyeongnam and Busan ended 3-1 in the hosts’ favour, but it was the opening goal that wowed the onlookers.
With Gyeongnam passing around possession just inside the Busan half, the ball arrived to South Korean midfielder Kim Dong-Chan 30-yards from goal. And, after taking just one touch to steady himself, Kim let rip with a rocket that just kept on rising before ripping its way into the roof of the net.
