To the surprised of no one in the sports world, Brett Favre is back in the NFL (in purple) after announcing his retirement for the second time. And also to the surprise of no one, he is getting constantly ripped by sports writers everywhere. Every single damn article I read about this guy he is getting torn to pieces. Mr. Favre has quickly gone from one of the most lovable and popular players in NFL history, to one of the most hated. The media and only the media is responsible for the way one of the greatest players the game has ever seen is being viewed this way.

Brett Favre is now seen around this country as a selfish baby who just doesn’t know when to go away. But let me ask this question to everyone who is quick to judge. If the Minnesota Vikings sent a private jet to your home, threw 12 million on the table, and said come play for us, would you take it? That’s what I thought. The media is pissed at Brett for one reason, he lied to them. He fooled them all into believing he was really gone. They bought into the tears, they bought into the act, and now they feel like morons for believing he was actually done. And now to get back at Brett, they on ripping him to shreds every chance they get. The bottom line is that he’s Brett Favre and Brett Favre can do whatever the hell he wants. If he wants to play, and if teams are willing to drop 12 mill to let him play, then more power to the guy.

So good for you Mr. Favre, I wish you the best of luck this upcoming season. The media may hate on you, but you’ve got one big fan here in New York. Just make sure your arm doesn’t turn to spaghetti by week 12 (and if it does just hand it off to A.P.). Go get em’ Brett!
