Is Wayne Rooney really 100% fit to face Chelsea on Wednesday night?

The United forward looked a long way off his best on the final day of the season at Wigan.

Could it be that Rooney is so desperate to be in the starting line up in Moscow on Wednesday night that he is keeping the seriousness of this hip injury to himself?

The England internationals' display last Sunday at Wigan was one that looked like a player who was just dying to be on the pitch when United won the league, and not the fully fit Wayne Rooney that we have been used to watching this season.

I hope that he puts the club first and himself second when it comes to being honest about just how fit he is for the Champions League final.

If Sir Alex Ferguson leaves out a fully fit Carlos Tevez to play Rooney up front on his own, something that United have done a few times in Europe this season, it may be the difference between United winning one or two pieces of silverware this year.
