Battle Of The Bay Gives Raiders a Shot To Stop The Negatives

First, reports came out that Tom Cable punched Randy Hanson in the jaw and fractured it.  Then, top WR Chaz Schilens went down with a foot injury that will keep him out 4-6 weeks.  Now, reports are saying that Randy Hanson will cooperate with the Napa police in the investigation of the encounter with Tom Cable.

Somewhere in that time frame the Raiders also released veteran FB Lorenzo Neal who could have been a road blocker for the Raiders, even if he only lasted one season.  In two days of two-a-days the Raiders apparently were outperformed by the 49ers

When will something positive emerge from the Silver and Black?  If the Raiders can win the Battle of the Bay on Saturday, that will ease the tension that some Raiders fans are beginning to feel, at least ease the uncertainty about the roster moves.

Tom Cable could face disciplinary actions from not only Roger Goodell, but maybe the police, if Randy Hanson presses charges.  But if they beat the Niners, at least the Raiders will have Bay Area bragging rights, even if they have no head coach because of a suspension or a legal decision in court.
