Anaheim Ducks: Selanne Wins Bronze in Last Time Wearing Finland Jersey

Ken ArmerSenior Writer IMay 18, 2008

After a 4-0 Finland victory over Sweden to claim the Bronze Medal at the World Championships, Teemu Selanne may have expressed an answer on his possible return or retirement to the Ducks.

The game took on more significance for the Finns when star Teemu Selanne, who is contemplating retirement from the NHL, said he had played his last game for his country..

"I played my last game for the national team. It's time to move on," Selanne said after the game.

Congrats to Finland and Teemu Selanne on their great performance at the World Championships. As a Ducks fan myself, I hope this is not an indication the "Finnish Flash" will not be returning in a Ducks sweater next season.
