Randy Couture Vs Antonio Nogueira: The Battle For Resurgence

On August 29th, two MMA legends will try to propel themselves back into title contention

The two legends in question are Randy "The Natural" Couture and Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira. Both fighters are coming off debilitating TKO losses.

Randy fell to the UFC Heavyweight Champion and real life monster Brock Lesnar, but despite the loss, Randy managed to give Brock his toughest fight to date.

Noguiera, on the other hand, is coming off a loss which cannot even be considered competitive.

At UFC 92 the seemingly impossible was accomplished as Frank Mir became the first man in a great list to finish Nogueira.

Now both will meet at a critical moment in their respective careers.

Should "The Natural" lose, the critics will say father time has finally caught him and retirement could ensue.

Should Nogueira lose again, critics will say his legendary and barbaric battles have without doubt sealed the final nail in the coffin. Like "The Natural", the question of retirement will knock on the Brazilian's door.
