Northwest Division Defensemen Rankings

The Northwest Division has some very good defensemen.

The defensemen in the division vary in talent. Most of the top defensemen have offensive ability, but won't are not afraid to be physical.

The Calgary Flames have a pair of the biggest names on the blueline in Jay Bouwmeester and Dion Phaneuf.

The Colorado Avalanche has one of the best offensive defensemen in the game in John-Michael Liles.

The Edmonton Oilers have one of the biggest shots from the point and physically sound in the defensive zone in Sheldon Souray.

The Minnesota Wild has an emerging star in Brent Burns. Burns played in only 59 games before suffering from concussion-like symptoms.

The Vancouver Canucks have a very good young defenseman in Alexander Edler.
