The Canes just became stronger up the middle with the signing of 6"2 center Stephane Yelle for a very reasonable price of $550,000.   He had a solid year in Boston with 7 goals and 11 assists.  Along with being plus/minus 6 for the season, Yelle won 52% of his faceoffs and is a fearless shock blocker.  Yelle brings along 2 Stanley Cup rings from '96 and '01 with the Colorado Avalanche.  He is a savy veteran who knows what it takes to win the cup.  You can never have too many proven winners in the locker room.
