I can't help but think that my Top five pitchers will stir some controversy. I like these gentleman if I had them in their prime with all things being equal. I don't think I would lose too many games with this group...Have a take on why you agree or disagree. It will be a great debate. They are in no specific order as one can replace the other as opening day starter. The Goal 2 Lefties, 2 righties, and 1 reliever. Stay along those lines if you can...
The Dodgers Sandy Koufax was unhittable in his prime. He is on my staff...
Too tough! Steve Carlton was a money pitcher if you needed the one win...he was the guy!
Argue all you want but the greatest winner right handed is Greg Maddux. I'll take him in his prime anyday everyday.
I can't lose here...Another tough choice! I'll take Gibson!
How can I deny this guy as my all-time reliever...yes Lee Smith was awesome as is Mariano Rivera, so was Rollie, but this guy is crushing the record books. I can't deny him his due with losing teams no less...all are hall of Famers.
Bob Feller, Don Drysdale, Warren Spahn, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Roger Clemens, Randy Johnson, Kevin Brown, Juan Marichal, Don Sutton, Phil Niekro, Gaylord Perry, Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Pedro Martinez, JR Richard, three finger Brown, Satchel Paige, Whitey Ford, Tom Glavine, Bert Blylevin and Carl Hubbell. All could be first teamers as well...Im sure I missed many.
