BEIJING - AUGUST 24: (L-R) Kobe Bryant #10, LeBron James #6, Dwyane Wade #9 and Carmelo Anthony #15 of the United States hold up their medals after defeating Spain in the gold medal game during Day 16 of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games at the Beijing Ol

The image above shows some of the elite talents in the NBA. Carmelo and LeBron are two of the best players at the SF postion. Kobe and D-Wade are without a doubt two of the best players at the SG position. This slideshow is the first in a series of slideshows that will show who I believe will be the 3 best players at their postion. Todays slideshow will show who the point guards will be.

Chris Paul

DENVER - APRIL 29: Chris Paul #3 of the New Orleans Hornets awaits action against the Denver Nuggets in Game Five of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at Pepsi Center on April 29, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. The Nuggets defe

Chris Paul in my opinion will be the best point guard in the league for a long time to come. He became a superstar in the league in a short amount of time. And he still has alot of time ahead of him to get even better as he is only 24 years old. He has the BB IQ, his jumpshooting abiltiy is much better, and he is very good at making the teammates around him better. Too bad Denver pretty much spanked him really bad in the playoffs.

Deron Williams

LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 27: Deron Williams #8 of the Utah Jazz is double-teammed by Sasha Vujacic #18 and Lamar Odom #7 of the Los Angeles Lakers in the second half of Game Five of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at Stap

Like Chris Paul he became one of the best young players in the league in just a short amount of time. The sky is the limit for him as well as he is only 25 years old. He is one of the most underrated players in the league. He hasn't even made an all-star game yet. For a guy who has averaged at least 18 ppg and 10 apg that is ridiculous in my opinion.

Derrick Rose

CHICAGO - MARCH 06: Derrick Rose #1 of the Chicago Bulls drives against Charlie Villanueva #31 of the Milwaukee at the United Center on March 6, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. NOTE TO USER: User expressly acknowledges and agreees that, by downloading and/or

Of course I had to put him on this list. After his rookie season he's arguably one of the 5 best point guards in the game. (I said arguably I don't even believe that myself.) I think that he will only make his team better. He is a pass first version of D-Wade. He has the physical capabilities to become one of the elite players in the game. He is a budding superstar.

Honorable Mention: Rajon Rondo

CHICAGO - APRIL 23: Rajon Rondo #9 of the Boston Celtics drives to the basket against the Chicago Bulls in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at the United Center on April 23, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. The Cel

I think that Rondo looks so good because, he plays on the same team as The Truth, KG, and Jesus Shuttlesworth. I think that he is better than what people give him credit for but, he has never carried the team on his back the way that CP3, D-Will, and Rose have at times. Hey who knows maybe he can prove me wrong in the future.
