DeAndre Jordan had a brain fart at the worst possible time.
With the score tied at 87 in the fourth quarter of the matchup between the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Clippers, L.A. had the ball with 2.5 seconds remaining. Chris Paul missed a potential game-winning shot, but DeAndre Jordan was able to secure the offensive rebound.
Jordan grabbed the rebound with 0.7 seconds left, but instead of slamming home the game-winning dunk, he simply held the ball. Paul understood the situation and aggressively tried to get Jordan to shoot the ball.
Perhaps the shot clock expiring confused Jordan, but since Paul's shot rimmed out, he would have been able to get his shot off and end the game with a Clippers victory.
Alas, that didn't happen, and the Blazers took advantage of their second chance to win the game 98-93 in overtime.
