San Diego 4 Cubs 1 Game 1 of Road Trip

John ChonarzewskiContributor IAugust 18, 2009

After 20 weeks of baseball the proverbial acorn has fallen on Lou's head telling him NOW there are going to be some changes made.

Gee Lou, couldn't you see the forest for the trees? How come 60% of the world knew Kevin wasn't the answer and yet you let your stubbornness, and poor judgement prevail until the Cubs are now 6 games behind the National League Central Champs, the Cardinals?

Lou, isn't this known as "closing the barn door after the horse is out"? A smarter, sharper manager would have done something a lot lot sooner than 20 weeks especially when you were picked to win the Central Division in a "weak division".

Has the steam roller run out of steam? Is the time "for wishing" over now? Is it time to follow the path of the "yellow brick road" and go see the Wizard for a competent closer?

All I can say now is.................I hope the Wizard is at home! knock knock

Who's there?

It's Lou Pinella.

What do you want Lou?

I need a closer, can you help me Wizard?

Sorry Lou, you're a little too late.
