As a Chicago Bears' fan I have always disliked Brett Favre. I use the word dislike because I always respected him as a great player. Same respect I had for Barry Sanders.

But now today I can say I no longer have that same respect and that dislike has turned to hate.

For the past two season Favre has does nothing but fill up the headlines in all the wrong ways. Sure he wasn't involved in anything illegal and it isn't all his fault but he could have ended this at any point.

I don't care if he comes back or stays retired but just pick. Don't come out and have your agent say just 2 days ago that he sees him staying retired to this morning secretly boarding a plane headed to St. Paul to sign a two year contract worth about 10 to 12 million per season.

If he was open and honest from the beginning I would have had no problem with it. Just say you wanted to skip camp and that you wanted to play for the Vikings then at least it wouldn't have been so annoying.

But besides blaming Favre, I blame ESPN for camping out in front of his house watching his every move. It was the same with TO when he was in Phili, remember that we had to watch him doing situps in his driveway.

The worst part about ESPN is if you listen to the guys on the radio they can't stand covering the stories but the higher ups demand it.

Please let it end.
