Haloti Ngata: Latest News, Rumors and Speculation Surrounding Ravens NT

The Ravens confirmed that they traded Ngata to the Lions via the team's official Twitter account. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the Ravens moved Ngata and a seventh-round draft choice to Detroit in return for fourth- and fifth-round selections.
On Feb. 25, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported that Ngata may have played his last game with the Ravens, due to the player and team not seeing eye to eye on negotiations.
Ravens Reportedly Make Ngata an Offer

Ngata has been one of the NFL's best space-eating defensive linemen since entering the league in 2006, and the Ravens are apparently intent on keeping the former first-round pick in Baltimore.
According to ESPN's Ed Werder, the Ravens have reportedly made Ngata a strong contract offer prior to the start of free agency:

ESPN's Jamison Hensley reported the rationale behind the decision to offer Ngata an extension:

The 31-year-old veteran is a five-time Pro Bowler and an All-Pro, and there is no question that he has been a driving force behind Baltimore's defensive excellence over the years.
