The Football Association has written Avram Grant, asking him to explain his latest tirade with regards to referee Steve Bennett.

Speaking after the end of the Barclay's Premier League, Grant bemoaned (once again) that Manchester United were the benefactors of leniency by  Mr. Bennett, this time in United's away clash with Wigan.

Grant was referring to key events in the Wigan-United clash that he felt Bennett misjudged

had an excellent claim for a penalty off a Rio Ferdinand hand ball, and Paul Scholes, in any other game would have been sent off for a second bookable offence.

While his complaints may appear to be well founded, the F.A. have taken exception to them, and have given him until May 28th to explain himself.

The previous time Grant voiced his displeasure of being 'hard done by' was when Bennett Gave John Mikel Obi a red card, reducing Chelsea to 10 men in a game they would go on to lose to Manchester United 2-0 back on September 23rd.

Grant went on to say that it was typical of the type of refereeing that United had 'enjoyed' all season, aiding their title hopes; hindering Chelsea's.

It is not known what kind of sanctions Grant could face were the FA to be dissatisfied with his explanation.
