ESPN is reporting that Michael Vick has signed a one-year contract for a team option for 2011 with the Philadelphia Eagles.

I find this signing interesting considering I can find no analysts that even sniffed a rumor about Vick going to the Eagles.

All things considered, the Eagles should be pretty happy about the signing. Last year their offense was stagnant until their late season run into the playoffs. Now they will have a weapon in week six that will cause defensive coordinators significant headaches.

On the other hand, the media circus is going to set up camp outside Lincoln Financial Stadium and bombard Andy Reid and company with questions for the rest of human existence.

I'd say good luck to the Eagles and Vick but by the time Vick is ready to make an impact on the field I will be so annoyed and sick of hearing about him that I will hate them regardless.
