Hello Saints Fans, here is my take on this year's Saints Team.  To say that this is an important season for Sean Payton and company is putting it mildly.  I don't believe his job would be in jeopardy if they don't make the playoffs, but there would surely be many questions about his coaching ability.  After the success in his first season and the failures of the last 2 seasons, it's time for Payton to get back to the playoffs in a big way and from all of the preseason reports and hype, this just might be their year.  I believe, if they stay healthy, they could go far into the playoffs and maybe even the Superbowl.  I think injuries really hurt us last year.  They would have made the playoffs if not for so many injuries.  17 on injured reserve last year.  No team can survive that and still make the playoffs.    

Their window of opportunity is closing though, with Drew Brees now in his prime and healthy.  They need to take full advantage of that while they can.  I believe the improvements and upgrades made on the defensive side of the ball, in particular, the addition of Greg Williams as defensive coordinator, will be just enough to put them over the hump of the last 2 years.  They will certainly be an improvement over last year, providing they stay healthy.  I also believe Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell at running back full time will be a drastic improvement over last year's run game.  With a healthy Reggie Bush in the passing game, this offense could be even better than last year.  I know that's hard to believe, but it's a real possibility, even a likelihood.  I firmly believe a 10-6 record or better and home field throughout will put the Saints in the big game..
