Michigan's Teric Jones Changes From Running Back to Cornerback

Teric Jones was recruited as a running back out of Detroit Cass Tech, a position that he played in high school. However, given Michigan's thin depth at corner, coach Rich Rodriguez announced he has been moved to corner.

Wolverine fans should welcome the move and be supportive of Jones. He would have been seventh or eighth on the depth chart coming into the fall, and his speed and cutting skills will be very handy at the corner position.

He has the right body and could grow into a lockdown corner if he learns quickly and puts in the effort to master the technique.

Coach Rodriguez thinks he can do it.

"We moved him to corner with our lack of depth there, and Jones is one that will do anything and everything to help. We moved him over there and he's learning," he said. "We'll see what happens."
