What Was That Noise Heard at Wrigley Field Last Night?

That noise you heard last night was the Phillies hitting home runs, scoring runs and exposing how weak the Cub"s Pitching Staff really is.  Home Runs by Victorino, Ibanez, and Rollins showed the Cub Team what a contender does to an opponent when they get runners on base and drive in runs instead of stranding runners inning after inning.

And just as embarassing was allowing Pedro Martinez to beat them.  The "dog days" of summer is here.  This club continues to have trouble beating the good teams with winning records and soon perhaps it will be just a difficult beating the teams they should.

Let's look at this for what it is........having your butt handed to you on a platter.  And Thursday doesn't look any brighter having to face Clifford Lee.

Wave the white flag, surrender, throw in the towel, the fat lady is already humming.
