This weekends All-Star race in Charlotte promises big money, big racing action, and the possibility of some big wrecks. Throw out the points standings, throw out the whole start of the season, nothing matters but a few short sprint races to the finish.
Kyle Busch would have to be the favorite heading into the race, being that he is literally on fire this year in all Nascar divisions. He already has racked up 3 Sprint Cup wins, and a handful of wins in the Craftsman Truck and Nationwide series.
Toyota power and Joe Gibbs racing has shown great success so far this season, so don't leave out the sleeping giant of Tony Stewart or the always fast Denny Hamlin.
Another good pick for the GM side would have to be Jimmie Johnson, who already has 2 All Star race titles, but has struggled as of late with his teamates Jeff Gordon, and Casey Mears. The fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. wouldn't be a surprise win at all either in this one. "Little E" has shown great consistency as of late and on the verge for a break through win.
On the Ford side of things it wouldn't be shocking to see Carl Edwards or Greg Biffle leading the pack on Saturday night.
Whoever wins the race however will surely taste the fruits of victory with the $1,000,000.00 plus paycheck. The rest of the pack will be lucky to leave the race with undamaged sheet metal, because you can be sure everyone will be racing for the win in this one.
