Cliff Fletcher Makes a Mistake? Maybe Not

The Toronto Maple Leafs appear to have many underachievers on their roster. But one name that seems to spring to mind immediately in leafs nation is Lee Stempniak.

Coming off a 27 goal season in 2006-07 something very unusual happened to Lee, he suffered from a total lack of confidence. After two very disappointing seasons split with St. louis and Toronto, I feel Stemper will return to form. If paired with the right linemates i think he very well may get 25-30 goals once again. The late season success of Ponikarovski, if continued may work well with Stempniak on the other wing, and due to the breakout season and 40 assists of Matt Stajan could make him a fit up the middle between these two men.
