The Timberwolves could've been a great team. They could've won a championship long ago. Instead they are now a team that lacks direction. They are one of the bottom-feeders and it didn't have to be this way. This team has a knack for trading great players. These are some players that could've helped the Wolves' win a championship in the past and give them a bright future.

Ray Allen traded to Bucks for Stephon Marbury- 1996 NBA Draft

Ray Allen is arguably one of the top ten greatest shooting guards off all time. In his prime few could shake his great shooting touch. He will break Reggie Miller's record for most 3 pointers made. He is 262 3's away from breaking the record. He is a future hall of famer he has already won a championship with KG (the Wolves best player ever). He would've been the perimeter star player that the Wolves never had when KG was still in Minnesota. He is also a great team player.

In return the Wolves got Stephon Marbury. In my opinion he was one of the most talented point guards in the NBA in his prime. But his Ego always got in the way. Too bad he could've been a great player if he wasn't such a bad teammate.

Brandon Roy traded to Blazers for Randy Foye- 2006 NBA Draft

Brandon Roy is the franchise player for the Blazers He helped turn the floundering franchise around and guided them towards a bright future. The Blazers seem to be destined to become the next generation Spurs. He won rookie of the year. He is probably in the top 3 for the best shooting guards in the NBA already. He was the most NBA ready rookie in the draft as most pundits predicted. Has a bright future. He probably could've helped the Wolves out alot.

Randy Foye he is actually a pretty good player but will never be able to be better than Roy. He is way too injury prone. He is turnover prone. And his jumpshot still needs some work. Plus he doesn't play for the Wolves anymore.

OJ Mayo traded to Grizzlies for Kevin Love- 2008 NBA Draft

OJ Mayo was groomed to become the next big thing in the NBA. The guy lived up to the hype in his rookie year as he came in second to lose to Derrick Rose for Rookie of the Year. He could've won the award in another draft. He already has established himself as one of the best jumpshooters in the NBA. He has been mentioned to possibly become the second coming of Kobe Bryant on alot of websites. He has a very smooth game. He is a superstar in the making. He has alot of similarities in his game to Kobe, Ray Allen, and Wade.

Kevin Love is a very good player. He will probably become one of the top rebounders in the league. But, I think that he will only be a good player. He could possibly become an all star one day if he has a good season. I think that the Wolves got a good player but, not one to build a team around like you can with Mayo. As a Grizzlies fan I'd like to thank McFail.

I want to say that I'm not trying to criticize the Timberwolves fans for sticking with their team through all of the rough times that they are going through right now. I salute you all who try to cheer for them even the Kevin McFail kind of screwed your team up. Look at the players above and think about what could've been though. Tell me what you think about my article.
