While the Royals continue to struggle, their ace Zack Greinke hasn't been getting as much attention as he was early in the year. Granted, Zack hasn't been pitching as well as he was, a 3.85 ERA in his last 13 games compared to a 0.84 ERA in the first 10 games, but he should still be getting as much attention as any other ace in baseball.

Even after his recent "cold" streak, Zack has some pretty impressive stats. Let's take a look at some interesting Greinke stats. First let's look at stats regarding his recent "slump."

Greinke's 3.85 ERA in the last 13 games would rank as the best yearly ERA among qualified starters on the White Sox, Reds, Indians, Athletics and Padres.

His 79 K's in the last 13 games is more than any single player has for the Orioles and Indians on the year.

Now lets check out some odd yearly stats for Zack.

Number three hitters on the year are hitting only .192 against Zack. That is lower than every other spot in the batting order except the nine hole.

four spots in the lineup have failed to get a home run off of Zack.

Zack has only faced two hitters in a 3-0 count on the year.

Has the third lowest run support in the league among pitchers with at least 80 innings.

Has went at least 5.0 innings in every game.

Only allowed one multi home run game this year.

Zack's ERA did not get above 2.00 until July.

That is the end of my Zack Greinke stat pack. I hope you enjoyed it!
