MLB, AL Central, Cleveland Indians, Jhonny Peralta, Aaron Laffey, Game Recap

Many people that the Houston Astros are the hottest team in baseball. While this may be true, the Indians have by far the best looking pitching staff thus far this year. Allowing just two runs to the A's over their three game series, and six runs over their last seven games, the Indians staff is near unhittable.

The Indians finished off their sweep of the A's, won their third straight, and their eighth of their last ten. Jhonny Peralta stayed reasonably hot, going two for three and hitting his seventh home run of the year. Aaron Laffey had a spectacular start, going seven innings, striking out six, giving up zero earned runs. The start was good enough for his second win of the year. Kobayashi had another good close, striking out the only two batters he faced, dropping his ERA to 1.86, turning in his second save of the year.

The Indians go into an inter-league series with the cross-state rivals Reds. Jeremy Sowers makes his second start of the year. His first start was not pretty, going just five and a third innings, giving up three runs. They face Johhny Cueto, who has a 5.91 ERA thus far this year, with a 2-4 record.
