Contrary to reports circulating in the British press today, Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud is quoted in reputable French newspaper L’Equipe denying reports that Arsenal have made a second bid for prized-striker Marouane Chamakh.
Triaud is quoted in the French daily saying there have been “no signs of life” since Arsenal’s bid of seven million euros was rejected ten days ago.
From conjecture to fact, we are happy to bring you an excellent video highlighting Marouane Chamakh’s performance against Lens on Sunday night in Ligue 1.
Of particular interest is Chamakh’s excellent aerial ability, as Laurent Blanc’s side continually fired high balls up to the centre-forward to control. Also of note was Chamakh’s tendency to drift out to the right hand side where, with his head permanently up, the forward’s link-up play with his teammates was in clear evidence. And to cap off a fine performance the striker chipped in with a goal in the 4-1 win.
