ETSU and Stetson Set to Battle for Final Spot in Atlantic Sun Tournament

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The ETSU baseball team is set to host Stetson this weekend at Cardinal Park for a three-game series that will determine the final spot in the Atlantic Sun Tournament.

Game one of the series is Thursday at 7 p.m. with game two Friday at 7 p.m. and game three Saturday at 1 p.m. Friday’s game could be moved to 2 p.m. pending the outcome of the TSSAA state baseball playoffs.

The Bucs (18-35, 9-21) will need to sweep Stetson and get a Lipscomb sweep of Campbell to get the final spot in the tournament.

Saturdays game is senior day as the Bucs will be honoring Anthony Russell (Waldorf, Md.), Matt McGahey (Jonesborough, Tenn.), Bubba Herbold (Knoxville, Tenn.), Robbie Campbell (Lothian, Md.), Jimmy Tidwell (Acworth, Ga.), Brandon Langston (Ringgold, Ga.) and Jon Edmonds (Johnson City, Tenn.) in their last game as a Buc at Cardinal Park.

All three games will be broadcast live as Jay Sandos the “Voice of the Bucs”, will be calling all the action on live on both the website and on on WKPT-AM 1590 and its translator 97.7 FM in Johnson City, WKTP-AM 1400 and its translator 94.3 FM in Kingsport and WOPI-AM 1490 in Bristol. Additionally, WOPI’s FM translator 97.7 will also the game. Fans at the ballpark can also hear the game on Stadiumcast which is 88.7 FM. If the game Friday is moved there will be no radio broadcast, but the game will still be on the internet. Saturday’s game will be broadcast tape delayed on ASun.tv.
