DALLAS - APRIL 25: Forward Tim Duncan #21 of the San Antonio Spurs during play against the Dallas Mavericks in Game Four of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at American Airlines Center on April 25, 2009 in Dallas, Texas.

This a list of the NBA's top 5 power forwards, entering the upcoming 2009-2010 season.

I want to hear from you all on who on this list is worthy and who you think may not be worthy.

I hope you enjoy my article, and this should be one of the best NBA seasons in history this year alot of parody and good teams.

5. Amare Stoudamire

LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 18: Amar'e Stoudamire #1 of the Phoenix Suns scores spins around Al Thronton #12 of the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center on February 18, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. Stoudamire scored a game high 42 points and the

He is still young and very athletic, is one of the top big man scorers in this league, and has slowly developed a nice 15 to 18 ft jump shot to go along with his post game and aerial dunks.

If he stays healthy he will be at the top of this list in a few years. Last season he averaged 21ppg, 8rpg, 1bpg. He is also a 4-time all star.

4.Pau Gasol

ORLANDO, FL - JUNE 11: Pau Gasol #16 of the Los Angeles Lakers goes up against Hedo Turkoglu #15 and Jameer Nelson #14 of the Orlando Magic in Game Four of the 2009 NBA Finals on June 11, 2009 at Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida. NOTE TO USER: User expr

Gasol has in the past few seasons been in the spotlight and has been a picotal part of the Lakers Finals appearences and championship last year, he has always had top 10 PF talent with his scoring prowess and defensive ability he was just stuck in Memphis/Vancouver Grizzlies.

This last season elevated him to top 5 PF standing with his strong play in the regular season and the post season helping the Lakers win a title.

I put him 4th above Amare for the simple fact he has 2 NBA Finals appearances and a NBA title. Last season he averaged 19ppg, 10rpg, 1bpg. He is also a 2-time all star.

3.Dirk Nowitzki

SAN ANTONIO - APRIL 20: Forward Dirk Nowitzki #41 of the Dallas Mavericks during play against the San Antonio Spurs in Game Two of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at AT&T Center on April 20, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. N

Dirk has been lighting up the scoreboards for 10+years in the NBA,he has won the MVP award in the 06 season and led his team to the Finals the same year, he is widely considered the greatest big man shooter of all time.

He has the 3 point range of a Reggie Miller, solid post up game, and has worked hard on developing his off the dribble game which has become decent in these past few seasons.

He also shows up in the playoffs where he has a career average of 26 ppg. Last season he averaged 26ppg, 8rbg, 1bpg.He is also a 8-time all star.

2.Kevin Garnett

LOS ANGELES, CA - DECEMBER 25: Kevin Garnett #5 of the Boston Celtics and Lamar Odom #7 of the Los Angeles Lakers battle for position during the game at Staples Center on December 25, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. The Lakers defeated the Celtics 92-8

KG is a trailblazer for all young men who have came to the NBA straight from high school he was the first.

In his rookie season he averaged 11ppg,7rpg,2apg,1bpg as a 19-year-old fresh out of high school playing against grown men. Just sit back and imagine that for a minute.

He has a lethal post up game and a nice 15 to 20 ft jump shot and runs the floor like ah small forward. He has been a offensive force in this league for 10+years.

He is clearly still the second best pf in the game and has recently won a NBA title ah year ago. Last season he averaged 16ppg, 9rpg, 3apg, 1bpg.
He is also a 12-time all star.

Tim Duncan

BOSTON - FEBRUARY 08: Tim Duncan #21 of the San Antonio Spurs takes a shot in the second half against the Boston Celtics on February 8, 2009 at TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Spurs defeated the Celtics 105-99. NOTE TO USER: User expres

"He is probably the best player to ever play the position the way he plays it," said Utah coach Jerry Sloan, who coached Jazz great Karl Malone, which in my opinion says it all since some consider the best PF of all time.

Duncan is a unselfish superstar in these days that is unheard of, he has been in the playoffs each and every year of his 12 year career and has won 4 NBA Titles and is a 3-time Finals MVP.

With a playoff career averages of 23ppg,
13rpg, 3bpg, 4apg, you can say he get's it done once playoff time arrives. Last season he averaged 20ppg, 11rpg, 2bpg, 3apg. He is also a 11-time all star.
