Michael Vick has been turned down by many teams in the NFL.
About 27 of the teams have told Vick a straight up no. Of those five teams not dismissing a possible Vick deal, one is the Green Bay Packers, who have said they will not rule out the option of signing Vick.
Earlier today there was a report that a high-profiled Cheesehead visited Vick.
Several sources have now confirmed the Packers are performing due diligence on Vick, and a meeting would seem to indicate that their interest is increasing. Even if their Vick stance remains in a holding pattern, the team has set themselves up to pull the trigger should Brian Brohm continue to struggle.
Vick could be great back-up for basically second-year player Aaron Rodgers.
Will Vick make an impact this year on any team? No. He's out of shape, probably hasn't thrown a football in god only knows how long.
But next year, I think that Vick will be a great quarterback, almost back to the scrambling one he used to be. Although he doesn't have terrific accuracy throwing the pigskin, he can still play the position with many abilities.
Vick did and should have gotten a second chance and been reinstated, as everyone should.
Being a Packer fan, I wouldn't mind this pick-up and the new, hopefully more mature quarterback, Michael Vick.
