NFL Top 10: The League's Most Attractive Quarterbacks

With training camp well under way, we thought we'd take a break from legitimate analysis to bring you something completely frivolous and very girly.
The Top 10 active, attractive quarterbacks is a list compiled via polling and with no regard to statistics, team, or draft number. It is based solely on their looks, which in this media-driven world, is something that cannot be overlooked for the modern QB.
The Honorable Mentions
An honorable mention goes out to several QBs.
Phillip Rivers is ruggedly handsome, and just barely missed the list. Matthew Stafford, Eli Manning, Colt Brennan, and Matt Cassel also nearly made the list, but are too cute. Jason Campbell gets kudos for a great smile, and Jay Cutler's hair cut does nothing for him.
That's all for the honorable mentions. On to the good stuff!
Number 10A: Kurt Warner
Age before beauty, so the saying goes. But Kurt Warner has aged gracefully, making our list at number 10 A.
The dark hair and all-American grin make this QB's face ruggedly handsome and seemingly ageless.
Number 10 B: Matt Ryan
This first year QB is heating things up down in Atlanta. His charming good looks and great smile make him number 10 B on our list, mostly because we couldn't decide between him and Warner.
Ryan is looking to improve his game in his sophomore season, tough to do considering he had one of the best rookie seasons ever this side of Big Ben. With additions in the back field, he certainly should do fine.
The one thing we that know doesn't need improving is this quarterback's adorably delightful face.
Number 9: Matt Lienart
While Lienart hasn't done much on the field, his looks keep him fresh in the minds of female NFL fans everywhere. And with two Arizona Cardinals on our list, it makes them the "hottest" team in the league.
Well...in terms of quarterbacks, anyway.
He's the tall dark and handsome that many ladies always dream of, and an athlete to boot. Now if he could just make it on the field and do some good, he might move up on this list.
Number 8: JaMarcus Russell
JaMarcus Russell makes our list at number eight, but his smile is number one. A grin on that pretty face will light up a room, and hopefully he can somehow bring a grin to the faces of Oakland fans everywhere. Maybe.
Another thing that makes Russell a charmer is the clothes. You know the line "every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man?" True. We like it when they look put together, and JaMarcus is one sharp dressed man.
Number 7: Tony Romo
Tony Romo is at number 7 on this list because he's just adorable. While he lacks some of the hotness of our other QB's, the Dallas gun-slinger is too cute to pass up.
He's not ruggedly handsome or smoldering like the others, but that cute little grin just melts a girl's heart (except Redskins fans...some rivalries run deep).
His TMZ value has gone down since dumping Jessica Simpson, but we like what Tony Romo looks like on, and off the field, regardless of who he's dating.
Right now he's the cheaper Tom Brady. Dated a celebrity (Jessica Simpson—not as hot as Gisele or Bridget), plays well (but not in December), and has a made-for-TV face (that we'll give him, he's as good in commercials as Brady).
Just give Tony a few more years, though, because we still aren't sure if he's better than this or not.
Number 6: Drew Stanton
Drew Stanton, the lesser known backup QB of the winless Detroit Lions, is certainly not a loser in the looks department. With the arrival of first rounder Matthew Stafford, Stanton may again be backing up another QB, but we give him credit for being first among the Lions in looks.
He's got the "charm smile" that can get him just about anywhere (one exception: the end zone), and has a friendly and inviting face. With his hot, All-American looks, we think he'll go far, if not in the NFL then in the broadcast booth.
It's nice to see something good in a Lions uniform, and the female fans can admire him, if nothing else.
Number 5: Brady Quinn
Brady Quinn is competing for the starting job in Cleveland, but there's no competition here. Quinn makes the list at number five, for his cute face and billowy hair. Usually, we don't like guys with better hair than us, but Brady Quinn rocks it.
His commercial-friendly face will serve him well as his play improves, landing deals outside of football to rake in the cash with that pretty smile.
Could he be the face of the NFL? Not likely. The face of a franchise? Maybe. A face for an advertisement? Oh yes.
Number 4: David Carr
David Carr started his career as a Houston Texan, he's now a Giant after a brief stint with the Panthers. He might have bounced around the league, but his looks haven't changed.
He almost reminds us of the skeezy model guy in "10 Things I Hate About You" but with less skeeze.
David Carr has the dark, smoldering looks that make many women swoon, and while he's now a back-up QB to Eli Manning, he trumps Manning in the looks department in every way.
Number 3: Trent Edwards
Our top three were tough to call, and were very close in all categories. Trent Edwards wins for most attractive in a helmet. He's got the smoldering good looks of David Carr and then some, and tops it all off with an engaging and charming smile.
If he didn't play professional football, he'd have to be a news caster.
He's got the name (easy to spell and pronounce and sounds good in an opener), the smile, and he'll attract the female demographic on looks alone.
Edwards is joined this year by Terrel Owens, who will likely overshadow Edwards in the media and in sports discussions, but Edwards still shines as one very attractive NFL QB.
Number 2: Mark Sanchez
If there ever was more of a charmer, I'd be surprised. Rookie Jets QB Mark Sanchez has already had his share of magazine play and TV time. He hasn't taken one snap under center and already he's number two on the list.
While we have big issues on signing rookies to massive contracts without any proof they can play at the big league level, there's no denying Sanchez is a hottie. And even without his gazillion dollar contract, he would have landed multiple endorsement deals to make him the same amount of money.
We think this all has something to do with that cute little smirk he has.
This tall, tan dreamboat almost eclipsed our number one guy, but Sanchez came in where he hopes he doesn't come in at training camp: second.
Number 1: Tom Brady
Tom Terrific is numero uno, which is getting to be a pattern with him. Despite spending most of last year recovering from knee surgery, he did nothing to decrease his hotness. In fact, he increased it by marrying a supermodel (Gisele) and letting her pick out his clothes.
There's no denying it: Tom Brady is one good looking guy. With his chiseled features and adorable cleft chin, Brady makes women everywhere swoon. And he can get you two ways: a 1,000-watt grin that looks like a kid at Christmas, or the trademark smirk that opens doors and hearts everywhere.
With the best stats (and best arm candy) around, Brady looks to hold this spot for years to come.
The End
That concludes our list of the 10 most attractive NFL quarterbacks. We hope you enjoyed and hope you will feel free to argue our choices or our order.
