Nicolas Anelka and £9m will be enough for Chelsea to bring David Villa to Stamford Bridge for next season.

Salvador Gonzales earlier had said it would have to be a very special offer from Chelsea to lure Villa away to London—but Rafeal Morera (executive director in charge at Valencia) confirmed Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was considering the offer.

"We have had talks, we have to see what comes of them," said Morera.

David Villa, meanwhile, is excited by the prospect of moving to London to play for Chelsea.

"It's where the real football is played. If Valencia have to sell me to regain money, I will accept that," revealed Villa.

Chelsea are currently linked with many high profile players including Sergio Ramos, Sergio Aguero, Ricardo Quaresma, Micah Richards, Lionel Messi, Giovanni Dos Santos besides David Villa.

The Blues have already captured Porto's Jose Bosingwa for £16.6m.

Chelsea's title rivals Manchester United are also looking to strengthen their own attacking force.

Manchester United have lost faith in the injury-prone Luis Saha and have set their sights on Sevilla's Brazilian forward Luis Fabiano.

Sevilla's failure to make the Champions League is an added bonus for United. The Red Devils will be looking to offer an amount close to £14m for Fabiano, who has scored a staggering 33 goals this season.

Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, and Fabiano in the same team sounds like 'GOALS' to me—and perhaps another title waiting to be collected.

That's the transfer news. But before any of that takes place, we are off to Moscow for one final showdown.

  1. I wish the signed players could participate in the UCL finals.....what a match that would be....

  2. Saha's time is up at United. Unless he can finally shake off his injuries and play the way he has in the past then I don't really see him staying at Old Trafford. Fabiano would be a good replacement in my opinion.

  3. Luis Fabiano and Queresma are most likely going to sign for Liverpool for the next season, thats from a fairly reliable source......

  4. David Villa has to be kidding me, he couldn't possibly be sober when he said Chelsea is where real football is played. That's the biggest load of rubbish i've ever heard in a very long time.

  5. I agree with Crispin, David Villa is an idiot!

  6. Is David Villa a better striker than Luis Fabiano?

  7. no not really
