Lou Holtz will continue to ramble incoherently on ESPN, won't run for Congress

After a few days of rumors flying around that Lou Holtz might run for the central Florida congressional seat, the former Notre Dame coach told an Indiana TV station that he has no plans to do so. Holtz will remain at ESPN, continuing to make us all struggle to figure out what he's saying each week.

"I think when you look at the country, you really don't want to get into politics," he told reporters during a golf outing on Wednesday.

That much is certainly true. Besides, Holtz has a cozy job on ESPN analyzing college football, something a lot less stressful than running for office.

If Holtz does decide to run in the future, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he won. He is known for his great speeches and his motivational tactics. Being a great leader in a football locker room doesn't easily translate to politics, but the ability to get people to believe in what you're saying does.
