Ellsbury showing critics (me) why he should be batting leadoff.
This is why we write blogs--to inspire people, players.  And since I wrote that blog questioning whether or not we as fans felt that Jacoby Ellsbury was worthy of leading off, he has gone on an absolute tear.

Seriously, a tear.  A .439/500/.659 line.  Five extra base hits in the nine total games.

I know it's a very small sample, but it is great to know Jacoby is reading Fire Brand  :)

I am still skeptical, for I know he isn't this good (no one is).  But his hot streak has been great to watch, and if he can continue to play well, then obviously he is the best option to lead off.
