My 10 Bold Predictions for the 2009 NFL season

I've read a few bold prediction slideshows and I would like to write one too. These predictions contradict my other NFL prediction article. That article remains my official predictions.
I do think that there is a good possibility that at least one of these predictions may come true in one way or another. The introductory picture is only to symbolize the Pittsburgh Steelers 2008 success.
So you may be asking "Who will have success in 2009, Tom?"
Read on to find out.
Washington Redskins win the NFC East at 9-7
The NFC East will not be the toughest division in 2009. In recent years, the Washington Redskins have sucked one year, then the next year they make the playoffs.
For example: 2005 Redskins made the playoffs at 10-6, 2006 Redskins are at the bottom of the division at 5-11, 2007 Redskins make the playoffs at 9-7, etc.
With a lack of wide receivers with experience, thegiants have to rely on Hackeem Nicks and stumble to 8-8. With T.O. shipped out of town Dallas becomes a running team and other teams with a good run defefense beat them and the Cowboys finish 8-8.
Rookie wide receivers aren't usually ones to produce right away and Jeremy Maclin is no different. Eagles are 7-9.
Baltimore Ravens win AFC North
I know that this may not be the biggest suprise of the slideshow, but the bold part is their record. I predict that the Ravens are AFC North champs at 13-3, only losing to the Steelers, Colts, and Patriots.
Even if Joe Flacco suffers a sophomore slump, he will have a good defense to fall back on and having a good offense doesn't hurt either.
The Superbowl champion Steelers still make the playoffs as the No. 5 Seed at 12-4. With the return of Carson Palmer, the Bengals improve to 9-7.
The Browns will finish 5-11 if and only if they play their best.
Josh McDaniels is Fired after One Terrible Season
Josh McDaniels got rid of Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall wants to leave Denver. The Broncos worst season in the 16 game schedule format was the 1990 season when they finished 5-11.
I'm not couting the strike shortened 1982 season when they went 2-7 because everything was messed up due to the strike.
My point is that the Broncos may tie that 1990 season or worse. They named Kyle Orton their starting quarterback, but he isn't really the best QB in the league and if Braandon Marshall ends up being traded, the Broncos could finish at the bottom of the AFC west.
I'm sure that some Bronco fans hate Josh McDaniels, who is on the hot seat until he proves himself.
Michael Vick signs with the Vikings
PETA will have a field day with the Vikings if this happens, but even though Michael Vick is a scum bag, he did serve his debt to society with prison time and house arrest.
He's been reinstated and con play after Week 4. The 'Vickings' will be looking for a QB after Tevaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels don't prove very well during the season and they sign Vick, who leads the Vikes to an 11-5 No. 5 seed in the playoffs.
Matt Ryan Suffers sophomore slump.
Yes it happens, the savior of the Atlanta Falcons, who is named Matt Ryan will suffer this thing that second year QBs have called the Sophomore Slump.
What stops the Falcons from being under .500 is the good offense that Atlanta has in Michael Turner, Tony Gonzales, etc.
Matt Ryan will throw more interceptions, but he will still have some TD passes and the Falcons finish 3rd in the division at 8-8.
The Detroit Lions will not be the Worst NFL team this year
We all know what this means, the Lions will win a game, not only that, they may even win a few games. OH MY GOSH it may happen. Even more suprising is that I thiink that they will be better than the Cleveland Browns and the St. Louis Rams.
The Lions have lost 23 of their last 24 regular season games. Their last win was week 16 of the 2007 regular season, the beat the Chiefs at home 25-20.
If the stars align and everything falls into place, the Lions should finish around 4-12.
The Year's Biggest Suprise team: Buffalo Bills
T.O's new team is the Buffalo Bills and if he and Trent Edwards get along, the Bills will finish 9-7 and get the No. 6 seed in the playoffs.
I don't think that the Bills will get very far in the playoffs, but at least they'll do better than 7-9 this year, right?
The Year's Biggest Disappointment Team: Philadelphia Eagles
The big hype this offseason is that since the Eagles had such a great draft, they will be a Super Bowl contender, but I disagree because they lost some players to Free Agency like Brian Dawkins for example. Plus to get to the Super Bowl, the Eagles will have to get past the NFC Championship game, they have lost many chmpionship games.
The last reason is that I don't think Jeremy Maclin will produce in his rookie season. All of that and a weak Offensive line sends the Eagles to the bottom of the NFC East with a 7-9 record.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be upset in the wild card round by the Chargers
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be the #5 seed in the playoffs at 12-4, they will go to Qualcom Stadium to face the AFC West champion San Diego Chargers.
The Chargers strong offense with Phillip Rivers, LT, Darren Sproles, and Antonio Gates and improved defense with a healthy Shawne Merriman will be too much for the Steelers to handle. Chargers win 20-13.
Baltimore Ravens win Super Bowl XLIV
The Baltimore Ravens make the Big one and defeat Michael Vick and the Minnesota Vikings 20-6. Vick throws two interceptions, which the Ravens turn into a touchdown and a field goal.
The Vikings become the only team to lose 5 superbowls. The MVP is Ed Reed with his 2 interceptions.
