This 25-year-old striker has been called a "classic No. 9." To be honest with you, I am not all that familiar with him. So I made it a point today to get to know this young man.

In my research I have read a lot of good things about him. In one article that I read, former Dutch national team Coach Louis Van Gaal was quoted as saying, "In the penalty box he is the best player in the world bar none."  A statement that shows he has earned the respect of this coach.

I also found out that with Ruud Van Nistelrooy's retirement he has become Dutch national team coach Lambertus "Bert" van Marwijk first choice striker.

In looking at his stats, I was pleasantly surprised. In 265 club appearances, he managed to score 179 times, an average of 0.675 goals per game.

After reading about him I wanted to take a look at his style of play. I went on to YouTube and searched for some videos featuring him, and what I saw also impressed me.

I saw a true opportunist in the box! A player who knows how to position himself, who is proficient at avoiding being caught off-sides. A player who knows how to score with both feet and head, and whose technique is impeccable.

He is young, he is fast, and he knows how to score goals. A combination that Milan desperately needs.

But here is the question that a lot of Milan fans are asking…Is he the right choice for Milan? Only time will tell.
