As the offseason enters a new month and the agony mounts for the comming season in what seems like an eternity, the rumour mill is churning out some quite outrageous stories. And some of them are just downright silly!

Take the whole Heatly mess that has jammed up the ottawa summer plans for quite some time now. We all now that he wants to be traded but some of the rumours that have spun out of that mess is almost too crazy to believe.

Take the situation of the Montreal Canadiens for example. There are many rumours telling how Bob Gainey will be helping out San Hose and Ottawa work out a big trade for the grummpy winger. Really. Why would Bob want to help out his rival in Ottawa unless he greatly benifited from it...and thats not going to happen. Some sourses (out of Ottawa, naturally) have even gone so far as the speculate that Gainey might even trade away Mike Cammalleri; their new aquisition this summer, to make this heatly saga end. Ok, whatever. sure. whatever you say.

So maybe we are all bored out of our minds and this is our way of satisfying our needs, but we need some common sence. Some rumours are believable but some are just abunch of junk. And i think we as hockey fans need to take everything we hear in the summer with a pinch of salt, fo rour own well being.

In conclusion, maybe your desperate for action right now or are just bored like kari Lehtonen in the picture, but whatever it is, don't believe everything that you hear. And please remember, its summer...so enjoy it.
