Multiple MMA sites are reporting that Strikeforce has signed top Middleweight Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza. The best article is on MMA Mania:

Without reposting their article, the timing of this signing with previous statements from Strikeforce and Jake Shields seem to point to a huge matchup between the two elite mixed martial artists.
This signing seems to be a pure contract, not a "loan" from Dream under the now formalized alliance between the two promotions. Paulo Filho is rumored to be the replacement for Souza in the October Dream 11 bout with Jason Miller.
Jacare is the current Dream Middleweight champion and was scheduled to rematch Jason "Mayhem" Miller this October at Dream 11. The fight would be the third between the two fighters with the most recent title fight being declared a No Contest due to an illegal, but unintentional kick to the head of Souza while he was on the ground.
Souza has been a dominating fighter, with the exception of his match with Gegard Mousasi for the Dream Middleweight Grand Prix title, which Mousasi finished Souza before permanently moving up to Light Heavyweight and SuperHulk.
Souza is a world class brazilian jiu-jitsu and submission grappling practitioner that has become very adept at MMA style fighting as well.
It would make even better news if Souza could bring his training coach/teammate Xande Riberio into their Light Heavyweight fold as well.
