Alabama comes into Saturday's SEC showdown with Georgia fresh off an amazing win against the Arkansas Razorbacks. After blowing a huge lead in the 3rd Quarter, Alabama got the ball and John Parker Wilson executed a seemingly flawless two-minute drill. With 14 seconds left, Wilson lofted a pass into the far corner of the endzone for Matt Caddell. The rest is history. Alabama won 41-38 and now sits at 3-0 (2-0 in SEC). Now, however, they will have to face a completely different type of team in the Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia comes into Tuscaloosa after winning a rubber game against Western Carolina. The Bulldogs are 2-1 with a loss to Steve Spurrier's South Carolina team. They will be looking to pick up a huge win Saturday night, but if all goes as Nick Saban has planned it, they will not.

This Week:

As I see it, Alabama's main focus has to be on defense. They must contain Matthew Stafford and hit him early and often. Last week, the defense got little-to-no pressure on Casey Dick, and he was able to complete passes and prolong many drives. They need to contain Stafford, not allowing him to scramble outside the pocket and get extra yards.

Another threat for the Crimson Tide defense this weekend is Georgia's talented tandem of young running backs. Thomson Brown and Knowshon Moreno are both threats coming out of the backfield and the Alabama defense must keep tabs on them as well. While nothing comparable to Darren McFadden and Felix Jones, the duo can definitely do their share of damage.

John Parker Wilson orchestrated that perfect final drive for Alabama last Saturday and he needs to carry that precision into this week. The Georgia defense is far from weak and will be looking to rattle Wilson early on. He needs to be prepared to get the ball away quickly and accurately.

Behind Wilson, Terry Grant needs to have another big week. The SEC Freshmen of the Week for the third consecutive week, Grant is the nation's eighth leading rusher. He is averaging 6.5 yards per carry and has amassed an amazing 403 yards thus far. Georgia is going to be keying on Alabama's rushing and passing game, so if needed Alabama's other threats will have to be ready for any opportunity to step up and make the plays needed to win.

Alabama's Keys To Victory:

1) Rattle Matthew Stafford and contain him if he escapes the initial rush. Alabama's defense cannot afford to continue to allow numerous 10- and 12-play drives.

2) Establish a proficient passing and running game early. Terry Grant needs to have another big game and John Parker Wilson cannot make mistakes in the red zone.

3) Make defensive stands. Alabama's young and thin defense cannot expect to last the entire game if they give up numerous drives that milk the clock.

Prediction:

Alabama 23,
Georgia 21
