The last couple of my articles has been about the 'money' issue in football and so is this one.

The debate goes on, Roman Abramovich looking to 'buy' the title and Liverpool and Arsenal looking to strengthen their squads for next season.

What's really concerning is the fact that the 'money' issue is affecting the game in various ways and most of them are not very positive.

Let's take Lucas Neill (pictured above) for example. The Australian used to be playing for Blackburn Rovers not so long ago. When he wanted to move, both Liverpool and West Ham United came into the picture.

Liverpool reportedly offered him GBP 30,000 a week compared to West Ham who coughed up GBP 50,000. Where did he go?

Surprise, Surprise! He joined the Hammers and if you ask anybody who knows anything about football they will tell you Liverpool is definitely a bigger club compared to West Ham.

This example tells you, they don't say ''Money Talks!" for no reason.

David Beckham was pounded from United to Madrid and dollared from Madrid to Los Angeles but then again may be it's best to say "I did it for the family".

Alan 'Leeds forever' Smith joined Manchester United not just because of glory but it was reported that Smudge earned double the pay check every week.

The latest in the line is a certain 'FLAM'. Mathieu Flamini is a name not too popular with the Arsenal faithful right now.

'Flamini ditches Gunners for Milan' read a headline in a local newspaper.

Then again maybe they do deserve the money, everybody's got to earn a living and I'm one of those who do.

FOOTBALL IS NO LONGER A KICK OF BALL.WELL,MAY BE IT NEVER WAS IN THE FIRST PLACE''.
