Zoltan "Chicks Dig the Running Punt" Mesko a Class Act

The WolverineCorrespondent IAugust 4, 2009

Some interesting facts revealed in this USA Today article. First, Mesko never missed a single day of school during the first 16 years of his schooling. That changed when some friends wanted to get some golf clubs during a one-credit lecture class.

Second, he had a tough upbringing in Western Romania during a time of upheaval. "Christmas Eve, I remember lying down in my apartment while bullets were flying through," he said. "I grew up around a very tough situation, a tough environment. A lot of players that come out of tough environments have more appreciation of where they are now than others."

Let's hope our star punter has an excellent final campaign.
