WHO'S GOT THE POW-A !
This would be my best approximate inference of the present state of NBA teams ranked on the guidelines of POW-A....that's POW-A also known as POWER in English. Over the next three weeks we'll examine the up coming season and the teams as they stand now. Looking at where they'll stack up and what to look for. This week we'll look at the top ten, the cream of the crop, the top dogs of the league. Hopefully this introduction is now the required 300 words.
#1—Orlando Magic
Magic my buddies, looking forward to what you should do this season. Going all the way, and not just with L.A.'s mom. I really think they did a great job of making their team deeper in the right areas this offseason. More so than any other team... but LA is a close second.
#2—Los Angeles
I was looking for a picture of DJ Mbenga to put as the face of the Lakers and all the results that came up were of Kobe. He's such the face of the Lakers that he is literally even the face of other players. That or mbenga and him just look alot alike.
#3—Cleveland Cavaliers
They picked up Shaq, OK. Now what?
#4—Boston Celtics
With KG back and hopefully healthy and the addition of Sheed they may actually be a little underrated at four, but we'll see.
#5—Denver Nuggets
Pretty quiet in Denver this offseason but when you beat New Orleans down by 80 points in a game and make it to the Western Conference Finals, what more do you really need to do?
#6—San Antonio Spurs
Signing a great swing man, and pending no injuries (who isn't saying that though) San Antonio could make a longer run into the playoffs than the first round exit of last season.
#7—Portland Trailblazers
I know I said this about Boston too but I really really mean it for Portland, probably too underrated on this list. The problem is their regular season success didn't translate in the playoffs. Their youth and inexperience proved to be a legitimate problem. But they've got some experience under their belts now, and a new face or two, so lets see what they can do.
#8—New Orleans Hornets
I just can't get that 80 point game out of my head. Hopefully they can.
#9—Dallas Mavericks
This is a veteran squad now, hopefully not too veteran. Biggest problem still evident is a lack of a good big man or a slasher scorer. They do have a stronger inside presence though definitely and hopefully better inside defense as well. Two problems that needed to be addressed.
#10—Chicago Bulls
Bringing up the top ten, Chicago. WHAT A SERIES! Chicago showed some serious heart and skill. Lets see if they can keep it up this next season.
