The 90's saw a change in the WWE (formerly WWF). The world of professional wrestling hit the mainstream. Vince McMahon successfully created a brand with the help of these five superstars.

Without these guys the WWE as we know it would not be the same. The WWE has rightfully taken over Monday, and Friday Nights as a ratings hog, with the talent that I have listed.

The Rock

The Rock has forever been immortalized in WWE lore. He began his stint as a small-time wrestler in the WWE as Rocky Maivia.

He brought an excellent attitude with exceptional athletic abilities to the top of WWE stardom as he embraced fans and delivered. If you smell la-la-la-la-low what the Rock is cooking!

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Steve Austin began the nationally televised portion of his wrestling career in the WCW as one part of the Hollywood Blonds with late partner Brian Pillman.

After his stint with the WCW he came to the WWE with a new persona and a new attitude.

His roughneck style and trash talking antics made him one of the greatest WWE superstars to ever be in the squared circle. And that's the Bottom line cause Stone Cold said so!

The Undertaker

Downright the scariest superstar to ever grace us with his presence is the Dead One. The Undertaker has become a solid part of the WWE's history, success, and popularity.

This man has never lost at Wrestlemania (17-0), he has defeated The Ultimate Warrior, Jimmy ''Superfly'' Snuka, Stone Cold, The Rock.

You name them; he has beaten them. Rest In Peace...

Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is arguably the face of the WWE. He first shot himself to ''legend''status with the Body slam of Andre the Giant. He was everyone's hero in the WWE.

In the early 90's he was the reason everyone was watching the WWE. He left the WWE and later became a villain at WCW as part of the NWO, only to return as a fan favorite to the WWE in 2002. HULKAMANIA IS HERE!!!

''The Hearbreak Kid'' Shawn Micheals

From the suggestion of Mr. Perfect, Shawn adopted the Heartbreak Kid alias and became one the better known villains of the WWE's early 90's era.

In the second half of the 90's he came back as a crowd favorite and became a face for the WWE brand.

Later becoming one part of DX. Shawn has had an illustrious career with the WWE and is definitely a name that will forever be associated with this brand of sports entertainment. Shawn Michaels has left the building...

Mick Foley

Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack, or just plain Mick Foley whatever you want to call him. Nobody in the history of the WWE has ever put themselves through the amount of physical damage that Mick has just so he puts on a good show for us.

I remember The Undertaker chokeslamming him through the top of a cage in the ''Hell in a Cell'' match. He should of never returned after a stunt like that, but the man showed his love for the fans and came back as one of the most beloved superstars of the WWE. MOMMY!!!!!

Bret ''The Hitman'' Hart

The Hitman is one of the greatest technical wrestlers in the history of the WWE.
Whether bad or good we always knew when this man entered the ring we were going to be entertained.

His trademark Sharpshooter has been so effective as a finishing move, it has been used by many other wrestlers. THE EXCELLENCE OF EXECUTION!!!
