Only hours after signing a rookie deal worth $11.8 million, former Ohio State star Chris "Beanie" Wells went down with an injury.

The Associated Press reports Wells rolled his left ankle after a collision and was carted off of the practice field smiling. There has been no follow-up report detailing the severity of the injury.

Cardinals fans may be fraught with worry knowing Wells' history with injuries. Wells missed several games as a senior at Ohio State, left to prowl the sidelines and bark encouragement.

Wells' agent had just completed a deal that will guarantee him $6.3 million before he arrived at practice.
