The British Press has never liked the German driver who slammed the door on pretty much any record in the history of Formula 1.
The talk is now going on saying that he has nothing to gain and everything to loose.
Also fans are talking about how he will be lacking in performance given that he has not driven much with out aids such as TC and some one even slick tires.
I think every one need to take a look at why Michael is doing this.
-1- Michael is a Ferrari man and his loyalty to the team made it impossible to say no.
-2- He's a very good friend of Felipe Massa.
Michael's own words:
"The most important thing first: thanks God, all news concerning Felipe are positive. I wish him all the best again.
I was meeting this afternoon with Stefano Domenicali and Luca di Montezemolo and together we decided that I will prepare myself to take the place of Felipe. Though it is true that the chapter Formula 1 has been closed for me since long and completely, it is also true that for loyalty reasons to the team I cannot ignore that unfortunate situation. But as the competitor I am I also very much look forward to facing this challenge."
Ferrari is a family with strong ties to each other, and if you have been following it just a little bit you will be absolutely amazed how Ferrari is pulling together in this hard time.
And why, because one in the family is in the hospital.
There will always be critics, and of cause there should be room for them also, but please look at the facts before talking.
Michael is for sure the most experienced driver Ferrari could get there hands on, with light years of experience driving without aids and on slicks ( check your F1 history ), yes he is 40 years old, but has always been well trained. So his physics will be a small problem.
Lance ARMSTRONG is not young and he did quite amazing in Tour de France. he said "So excited to see Michael Schumacher race again, he's the best"
I think a lot of people will be amazed just how good this "old" man is. His level of feed back to the team has always been just brilliant and will help the team understand much better how to adjust the car to suite a track. Michael has also used this skill when working on Ferrari's road cars, to make them even better.
Perhaps the British Press is scared cause he might just fight and make it harder for the good Jenson Button to win his first title. I must say that I think Brawn is struggling all by them self, and what ever MS can do to help will just make it a more changeling season.
Finely I guess I did it my self by writing this, and it will probably be like throwing jet fuel on a mountain of burning dynamite, but what the heck.
Final thoughts go to Felipe Massa and his Family and we all hope for a fast recovery and hope to see him back in the car soon.
