Lamar Odom will sign a four year, $33 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to ESPN's J.A. Adande. Odom was being pursued by the Lakers and the Miami Heat.
Last year, Odom averaged 11.3 ppg, 8.2 rpg, and 2.6 apg as a valuable sixth man and occasional starter for the Lakers. He was one of the reasons the Lakers won the NBA Finals over the Orlando Magic, and will make them the favorites to repeat this year.
Odom was criticized at times for being too inconsistent and stirred up a minor controversy when he revealed his sweet tooth, but he was a highly-coveted free agent and the Lakers and their fans did not want to see him go.
Odom's career numbers are 15.1 ppg, 8.8 rpg, and 4.2 apg.
