Paris Hilton was recently crowned the World's richest slut. The emphasis there is on rich.

Talking about rich people, Roman Abramovich is also very rich and he is making no secret of that fact.

Roman Abramovich is doing what pundits term as "buying the title."

Chelsea splashed GBP 16.2m on Jose Bosingwa from FC Porto and are currently linked with Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) worth around GBP 29.5m and Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) worth around GBP 41m by the Catalonians.

Roman is rich, Chelsea is rich and that is why they are paying Frank Lampard and John Terry GBP 140,000 on a weekly basis.

Tottenham Hotspur are also splashing the cash buying Luka Modric for an amount of money with which 12,000 Africans could have been fed for a month.

Liverpool are not far behind and are linked with Schalke's Rafinha worth around GBP 11m.

  1. haha, good read.

  2. Wow arsenal must be really poor.

  3. footballers have always been well payed the are they heroes of the modern age. we worship sportsmen as in the past civilisation worshipped soldiers. They get the rewards that go along with this adulation. personally i think they are paid according to what they put their bodies through for everyone else. the pressure they deal with etc. they deserve a lot of money. they have a shelf life of around fifteen years. As for buying the title, wouldnt you if you could? if i was a billionaire i would definately buy a football club it would be brilliant, hahahaha.

  4. slut is such a horrible word, and normally it implies a female, it is abhorrent, sexist and offensive. is a man who behaves the same way a slut? why is someone who enjoys sex frowned on? strange.

  5. To be honest Salaar, the Ramos and Messi stories are nothing but bullshit.

  6. haha, i agree with salomon, there is no way messi is leaving barca as in the off season they are rebuilding the squad around messi. he is perhpas the only certain thing to still be there next season. sergio ramos, though i think might actually leave. although who in their right minds would leave real madrid for chelsea?
