Manchester City have unveiled new signing Kolo Toure at his debut press conference since the Ivorian made his move from Arsenal.
28-year-old Toure sounded both elated and positive about his move, firstly thanking Arsenal for his time at the club, calling City a “big” club and citing his personal ambition of making one last career move whilst the defender is still able to perform at his maximum.
Tactfully, Toure dodged a direct answer for his hopes for City this season, only saying that he hopes they “can be as far as they can. If we can make the top six it would be fantastic.”
The big news though from the press conference was Toure's admission that he had been making eyes with City for several months previous. “I think before Adebayor we knew… There was some talk about coming here. It’s from six months ago.”
