Dana White, You Gave The MMA Community A Big Suprise

NEW YORK - JANUARY 20: Fedor Vladimirovich Emelianenko, heavyweight mixed martial artist and current World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts heavyweight champion rings the NASDAQ opening bell at NASDAQ in Times Square on January 20, 2009 in New York City. For those of you in the MMA Community of Bleacher Report, you will probably hear this on Friday, but Fedor Emelianenko has presumably signed with the UFC, although we have to wait to Friday to hear if this is true, but the thing that works with the title above is that White will (by my standards) just give Fedor a UFC Heavyweight Title shot, without doing anything.

I mean I can understand why White would just give the title shot to Fedor, cause he wouldn't want him to have a tune-up match, becuase Fedor has a MMA record of 30-1 (1), and I can repect that, but what makes me mad is that at UFC 104 has Cain Velasquez vs Shane Carwin where the winner gets a shot at the UFC Heavyweight Title shot, and Fedor getting a title shot as soon as he signs with the UFC could cause some problems, but I have three differnet options for what Dana White could do for Fedor ideas.

Idea #1: UFC 104 happens (about 2-3 months from now) the winner of the Carwin vs Velasquez fights Fedor (Fedor: 31-1, 1 NC, after the bout) then the winner of Carwin vs Fedor or Fedor vs Velasquez fight Lesnar for the UFC Championship at a later date.

Idea #2: They have the Velasquez vs Carwin fight, the winner then fights the winner of a presumed Lesnar vs Emelianenko for the UFC HW Title, then the winner of Carwin vs Velasquez and Lesnar vs Emelianenko will fight each other for the UFC HW Title, so it could be after UFC 104 and the possible Lesnar vs Fedor fight, Carwin vs Lesnar or Velasquez vs Lesnar, or the previous two bouts I just wrote only replace Lesnar for Fedor.

Idea #3: The easiest option, Carwin vs Velasquez winner of that bout fights Lesnar for The UFC HW Title, then winner of Lesnar vs Carwin or Lesnar vs Velaquez defends the UFC HW Title against Fedor.

Like I said before, it is NOT comfirmed that Fedor has signed with the UFC, but on Friday we might hear a comfirmation that Fedor is an offical UFC fighter, so I should have an article on Friday or Saturday on the comfirmation.
