Sometimes as a Mets fan, you must repeat the famous words said by Tug Mcgraw, "Ya Gotta Believe!!"

The Mets, who have an All Star Lineup of players on the DL, including Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, J.J. Putz, and more, are finally seeming to find ways to win.

One of the biggest changes the Mets have seen was getting rid of Ryan Church, who had a bust up with manager Jerry Manuel, and bringing in power hitter Jeff Francoeur. Since joining the Mets, he is hitting .305 with 16 RBI and 3 home runs. This kind of production from a corner outfielder is something the Mets have been lacking this season.

Another reason for the Mets recent insurgence, is that they are hitting well and pitching well, finally at the same time. For so long either they would have a great pitching performance but couldn't hit, or vice versa. But in the past 4 games, they have outscored their opponents (Houston, Colorado) 29 to 9. And they have gotten great performances from Jon Niese, Livan Hernandez, and Mike Pelfrey. Each of them got deep into games and gave the bullpen some rest.

Today, the Mets will play a day/night double-header vs the Rockies. Jon Niese will take the mound for the 12:10PM start, and Johan Santana will take the mound for the 7:10PM start.

Remember Mets fans..... Ya Gotta Believe!!! Lets go Mets!!
