Osgood and Detroit Redwings Go For 9 In A Row

The Detroit Redwings hockey team has been on a tear throughout the 2008 NHL Playoffs winning eight games in a row. The Redwings have been led by veteran goaltender Chris Osgood since the opening round. Osgood has won every single game he has played in this post season leaving him an 8-0 record.

Osgood replaced goaltender Dominik Hasek after Hasek performed badly in game two vs. Nashville. Since Nashville the Redwings have been rolling on all cylinders as they been led by Captain Nick Lidstrom who has always been a big defensive force along side blue line partner Brian Rafalski.

The forwards are led by Johan "The Mule" Franzen who has just been outstanding in the playoffs. You can expect awesome play out of Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg who really drive this high powered Detroit offense along with Franzen.

The Redwings play tonight at 8p.m. on Versus in a must win game 3 for Dallas who for sure will bring out their best in front at home. I still have to give the edge in this game to the Wings. This game will be a great one to watch as i do not see Osgood succumbing to the pressure the Dallas Stars throw at him.
