Panthers' rookie DE Everette Brown has agreed to a 4-year deal worth 4.3 million. The Panthers traded their 2010 first-round draft pick to pick Brown in the second round. They believed that Brown could help improve the Panthers' pass rushing attack, despite his size.

Brown will have to compete with Tyler Brayton and Charles Johnson, for the starting job at Left End. Brayton and Johnson proved to be solid players throughout the 2008 season, meaning that Brown will have his hands full at training camp.
